1. Do I need previous mountain experience?

It is not mandatory, but being in good physical condition is essential. It is a demanding high-altitude hike with steep slopes and volcanic terrain.

2. Is it dangerous to climb Lascar Volcano?

The activity is conducted with WFR-certified guides, medical oxygen, and satellite communication. Safety is the top priority, and the ascent always depends on weather conditions.

3. What is the minimum age to participate?

Generally recommended for those over 16 in good physical condition. Minors should consult beforehand.

4. What happens if I can’t reach the summit?

The guide will constantly monitor the group’s condition. If someone cannot continue, they can descend accompanied without compromising the team’s safety.

5. Is the altitude noticeable?

Yes, the route reaches over 5,400 meters above sea level. We recommend completing prior acclimatization tours in San Pedro before this ascent.

6. Is park entrance included?

No. The entrance fee is approximately $12. 

7. What clothing is required?

Layered clothing, windbreaker jacket, gloves, hat, and high-cut trekking shoes. Temperatures can be below zero in the morning.

8. What happens if the weather does not allow the ascent?

If weather conditions are unsafe, the tour will be rescheduled at no additional cost.

9. What time do we return to San Pedro?

The estimated return is between 16:00 and 17:00, depending on the group’s pace and the day’s conditions.

10. How many people per group?

Groups are kept small to ensure safety, control, and a more personalized experience.
